EV High-Voltage Circuits: Why Fuse Tubes Matter

EV High-Voltage Circuits: Why Fuse Tubes Matter

EV battery packs, e-controls and main-drive circuits run at high voltage with enormous short-circuit energy — fuses must interrupt reliably within milliseconds.

At interruption the arc temperature is extreme; arc-intolerant materials carbonize into conductive paths, causing failed interruption or tube burst. Melamine laminates, with superior arc and tracking resistance, are built exactly for such high-energy DC duty.

Vehicle duty also means constant vibration — brittle ceramics risk chipping, while glass-fiber laminates stay tough, dimensionally stable through thermal cycles, with RoHS halogen-free options easing project access.

From charging piles to drive fuses, the tube is small but indispensable in the electrical-safety chain. Zhongfu supports custom machining and sample testing for OEMs and tier suppliers.
